Each component of the lymphatic system helps move lymph, a colorless watery fluid, back into the bloodstream for detoxification. This process is done by lymphatic massage.
 
Manual Lymphatic drainage is a sequence of gentle massage strokes which helps to stimulate the flow of fluid (lymph) throughout the lymphatic system. Facilitating the flow of fluids helps remove toxins from the body. These massages also help prevents swelling, discomfort, bloating, pain, and, most importantly, fibrosis. This technique is usually delivered over a 1-hour session and produces the best results when initiated 1-2 days post-op if your doctor approves it.
